SSC GD Constable 2024 Recruitment Process Updated: Physical and Medical Tests to be Conducted Simultaneously
In an important update for SSC GD Constable aspirants, the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), has issued a corrigendum regarding the recruitment process for Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2024. The original notice for this recruitment was published by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on November 24, 2023.
### Key Change to the SSC GD Constable Recruitment Process
In an effort to streamline and expedite the recruitment cycle, the MHA has decided that the **Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET)**, **Document Verification (DV)**, and **Detailed Medical Examination (DME)/ Review Medical Examination (RME)** will now be conducted **simultaneously in one go**. This decision is expected to reduce the overall duration of the recruitment process.
### What This Means for Candidates
- All candidates who successfully pass the **PST/PET** will now directly move on to the **DV/DME/RME** stages, without any further delays.
- This adjustment aims to speed up the recruitment process and ensure that eligible candidates complete all necessary assessments in a shorter timeframe.
### Modified Examination Provisions
The relevant provisions of the original examination notice have been updated to reflect these changes. Candidates are advised to stay updated on the official SSC website for further instructions regarding the next steps in the recruitment process.
This change marks an important development for candidates preparing for SSC GD Constable 2024, ensuring a more efficient and faster recruitment process.
